BRUMA’S story…pregnant & thrown in the garbage

Bruma was pregnant and giving birth when her family put her inside her carrier and threw her into a garbage container. Its the middle of the day, in the brutal Qatar summer, with temperatures reaching 45°C and no shade. Bruma was trapped inside her carrier, in labor, helpless and unable to escape.

A kind man found her and immediately alerted us. We rushed to help her, but tragically, it was too late for her remaining three kittens. They had already died inside her.

Bruma was taken to the vet, where she underwent an emergency C-section to remove her babies and save her life and treat the consequent infection. She is now recovering at the veterinary clinic.

We will never understand how someone can look at a vulnerable animal; pregnant, giving birth and completely dependent on them; and decide that throwing her away like garbage is an acceptable solution. No animal deserves to be treated like this.

BRUMA IS NOT GARBAGE. SHE IS A LIVING BEING WHO FEELS FEAR & PAIN.

Once she is discharged from the Vet, she will need a quiet loving environment to recover.
